- clarify the purpose of the team and team goals,
- define the appropriate roles and accountabilities,
- identify the right people to fill the roles in the team,
- adapt their leadership style to the needs of team members,
- communicate clearly and using an appropriate style,
- create the right team climate and manage interpersonal conflict.
